Meet Sylvia Ipaye Jones

Sylvia Ipaye Jones is a proud Dallas native and the fourth child of Sheyi and Belema Ipaye. A lifelong member of First African Baptist Church, Sylvia has a heart for ministry and currently serves as Youth Director, where she loves mentoring and walking alongside young people in their faith journeys.
She’s also active in the WMU of Texas and serves as Director of Counselors for BGCT’s Camp Fusion. Sylvia holds a BBA from UT Arlington and is a Private Client Banker at JPMorgan Chase, where she’s been since 2016.
In 2023, she married her best friend and Chicago-native, Steven Jones. Whether she’s traveling, hosting game nights, spending time with her nine nieces and nephews, or squeezing in a class at LA Fitness, Sylvia brings joy, purpose, and faith into everything she does.
