Meet Dr. Ige Guobadia

Ige Guobadia is a wife, sister, daughter, friend, and mother of four adult children: Efosa, Adesuwa, Ameze, and Arese. She has been married to Sogie (G-Man) Guobadia for 32 years. She is a member of United Christian Fellowship Church (UCF) of Arlington, Texas where she serves as a Leader/Mentor of the Young Adults, Secretary of the Women’s Ministry, and a volunteer on the Missions Team. Her professional background spans over 30 years of experience in corporate America. Her work involves leading teams of writers and subject matter experts in creating compelling and compliant proposals in response to business solicitations. She holds a BA in English from the University of Lagos, Nigeria (1987), MA Conflict Resolution from SMU (2015), and a doctorate degree in Liberal Studies: Organizational Dynamics from SMU (2019). Ige’s doctoral thesis focused on the human side of business. She is an ad hoc instructor/lecturer at SMU’s Simmons Department of Liberal Studies and a recent published author of the book Demelderly, The Memory Thief. Most importantly, Ige is a Christian daughter of Jesus, striving to do better in the things that matter to him. She believes that we should all be looking to learn more about God and do more as we navigate life. Her favorite saying is “Tomorrow is not promised, so let us take today and make the most of it.” Her favorite scripture is “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths (Proverbs 3: 5-6).
